Joe Joe has his forever home and the Alleys have a new family member. Joyce
already misses her "kid" but it's a good feeling too. She helped him find a new
home and she has a lot of great memories of her time with Joe Joe. Joe Joe and
the Alleys are frequent visitors at our adoptathons and we're always happy to
see them. Joe Joe looks great and is obviously very happy with his new life. Joe Joe was very special to us because he was with us for so long. We had Joe Joe for over half of his life when he was finally adopted. Joyce, Joe Joe's foster mom, was especially taken with Joe Joe and took him home with her. Joyce can spoil her furkids and Joe Joe was no exception. In her description of Joe Joe, she commented that his diet of kibble was supplemented by french fries and an occasional sugar cookie! |

Large
black dogs are often the last dogs to find a forever home. There was always a
lot of interest in Joe Joe because of his beautiful wrinkly face, but he always
went home with Joyce when the adoptathon was over. September 18, 2005 was the
day Joe Joe's luck changed. That's the day when Lisa and Michael Alley happened
to see Joe Joe at our adoptathon. They took an immediate liking to the big
gentle dog with the face like a Newfie and took him home.
