Doris likes things to be really quiet. She prefers older cats to younger ones, since younger kitties tend to play non-stop.

Doris will find her way into your lap as long as it is free and clear of other animals. If another cat happens to want affection, she will bat it away. She wants 100% of your love, and is in no mood to share. She so wants to be with you that getting her to stay away from our camera was a challenge!

Doris would do well in an only cat home where she is the Queen of Everything.

Charlie is a very big boy - 15 pounds at last weigh-in - that does not make it out of the laying position very much. His favorite pastime is sleeping, preferably in the window sill with the window open and sun beaming on him.

He is a kitty-cat treat lover and will happily help any one clean their cat bowl. He is notorious for single-handedly running the role of clean-up crew after every meal.

Charlie has some issues with adapting to change as it takes him some time to adjust. He does best in a calmer environment though he has no problem with laying down the law on where his turf begins whether it's with other felines or canines. He's not fighter, but he is no wimp either. He would like to find a home where he can be the only "top cat".

Charlie likes to be around you and lay with you as you relax in the evenings and he'd love his own private human entourage and a personal catering service!

Forrest is a beautiful orange tabby. He is a rather low maintenance young man, but will let you know when he is hungry or wanting his belly to be rubbed.

Harpo lives up to his name as he chases his two female feline companions around the house. He's rarely vocal but most always looking for something or someone to play with.

Hartley was brought into the rescue after his owners left him and his sisters without warning. Neighbors would take shifts feeding them until HEART. learned of them and took them in. They all are very grateful for love and attention.

Hartley is very playful and affectionate. Hartley gets along with other cats, and is inquisitive about dogs. Hartley is very comfortable around young children. He is very acrobatic and really enjoys chasing his feather wand. When very playful, he likes to be a nibbler so care must be taken for little hands when playing. Jarrod is a beautiful white cat with deep golden eyes. He's curious about the world around him and interested in what might come along. Jersey is our "talker". He meows when you enter a room, and will follow you around the house with the same "greeting". Jersey reminds us of a circus act... due to his funny antics. He will stand on his back feet, and twirl in circles, only to land on his back wanting a belly rub. Jersey loves to rub up against your legs, and give you his famous "meow".

Jersey gets along super with other cats, and is interested in dogs. He has his moments when he loves dogs and wants to be right under their feet, but other times, he takes one look at them, and off he hides.

Jersey has come along way over the past several months. Jersey was one of our feral cats, and now he loves to be rubbed on. His only downfall at this point is the he has no interest in being held. He will jump into your lap, but if you act like you are holding him, Jersey will jump back down.

Luca is everyone's helper. He loves to assist his foster mommy clean out the litter boxes. Luca will place his paw on your wrist, while you scoop. He will lay on the plastic bag, prohibiting the litter to fall inside. And after the boxes are clean, he is the first one to hop inside, making sure you did a great job.

Luca is famous with the lady kitties. He is always working out on the "scratching post machine". He will pump iron six or seven times a day, making sure he stays fit and trim. Luca can always be found in the most unusual positions as well as places.

Matthew craves attention, but is not fond of being picked up. He is excellent around other kitties, especially his best friend Luca. Matthew is definitely the spokes-kitty one it comes time to be fed. He will hunt a human down, and nudge you towards the kitchen. No wonder all the other cats in the household adore him.

Matthew can be found sleeping on top of a kitty condo most afternoons. This has been christened "his" spot, and will push new-comer kitties off. Matthew is not one for a scratching post, but if he feels the need, he will knead the carpet by "his spot". Matthew prefers his environment to be calm, so placing him within that peace level is the optimum goal.

Nicole really loves attention and begins to purr immediately when just say her name. When she came to us, she was very timid. She spent her first week under the bed. Now, she follows you around the house and loves to be rubbed.

She gets along wonderfully with other cats. Her exposure to dogs have been limited.
She enjoys the simpler things in life. When you play with the feather wand with her she likes to lay on her back and swat at it.

Simpson is a wonderful kitty with a lot of love to give. He is constantly licking some part of a human's body. Simpson will sleep next to you in bed and he will give you a little nose kiss. While you are relaxing in the evening, he will be in your lap, licking the tips of your fingers. Simpson is such a little love, and one who will be very missed by his foster when adopted.
